Institutional Funding Scoping; Consultancy opportunity 

Would you like to play a key role in guiding CBM Global Disability Inclusion in deciding where to invest resources in new institutional funding markets?

This opportunity would require you to compile a report detailing institutional donors whose strategic priorities align with those of CBM Global Disability Inclusion. Your recommendations would guide CBM Global’s next steps, so an excellent knowledge of the global funding landscape for international development is vital.

CBM Global’s work and world-leading expertise is focused in the 4 core areas of disability-inclusive community development; inclusive humanitarian action; inclusive eye health and neglected tropical diseases; and community mental health.

You’ll provide guidance to CBM Global in deciding where to invest resources in new institutional funding markets, taking into account eligibility, best fit, competition, donor flexibility and – ultimately – likely return on investment.

Deliverables

The main deliverable will be a written report providing information about institutional donors whose strategic priorities align with those of CBM Global – across our community-based programmes, advocacy and/or advisory services. It will include recommendations – in order of priority – to guide CBM Global’s next steps.

Profile of consultant(s)

• Excellent knowledge of the global funding landscape for international development
• Experience (direct or indirect) of working with at least some of the largest institutional donors
• Access to information across a wide spectrum of global institutional donors
• Ability to assess ‘best fit’ between an NGO and potential donors, and to assess likely return on investment (e.g. using a simple rating system).
