DIGITAL FUNDRAISING MANAGER

Compensation: 1500 net

The Digital Fundraising Manager directs and supervises the online fundraisers’ growth and the donors engagement’s programs, implementing effective strategies via e-mail, mailing lists, website’s promotions, and other digital channels. The manager will provide a coordinated leadership for engagement activities, developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support the fundraisers for the whole Organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define in consultation with the Fundraising Director, the annual budget and specific strategies for each channel and programme;
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor all the online fundraising strategies (advertising, email, marketing, social media), adapting and applying operational and strategic principles (annual operational plans) according to the guidance provided by the Fundraising Director;
  • Plant, implement, coordinate, and supervise the online fundraising campaigns on all the channels in collaboration with the Content Manager, and provide supervision and guidance to the Graphic Designer;
  • Improve the performance of SIR’s website, through monitoring trend-analysis, and conducting specific sector-related market research;
  • Manage the relations with all relevant donors, providers, and stakeholders involved in the campaigns: consultants, digital and web agencies;
  • Support and nourish the contacts with other HQ managers to maximise efforts and ensure the best possible deliverables and outcomes for the Organisation, its clients, and the community that SIR’s supports;
  • Design a tailored advertising strategy, and manage the marketing campaigns as well as acquisitions, through social media, google, and relevant online digital channels;
  • Monitor and analyse the campaigns, identifying potential risk-reductions and prevention strategies, implementing solutions, running tests and trials, and preparing monthly reports to evaluate the progress of main KPIs and general performance;
  • Develop and test new, innovative, and creative solutions, research and implement best-practices for fundraisers across public media;
  • Manage the email and mailing list specific fundraising plan of the Organisation, in coordination with the Content Manager;
  • Manage the online communication calendar, and coordinate with the Content Manager for the creation, production and delivery of email communication and outreach;
  • Establish fixed specific deliverables and refer to ROI;
  • Plan and develop digital fundraising campaigns through SEO techniques, defining strategies to drive web traffic towards SIR’s website;
  • Supervise the creation and adaptation of varied graphics and key content to support digital fundraising activities;
  • Develop and manage email, mailing lists, landing pages, graphic tools for fundraising online, including donors database, reports, and e-commerce shop;
  • Monitoring SEO and web traffic trends and data collection, qualitative and quantitative market analysis;
  • Use Google Analytics and other insight-providers digital tools to analyse online web traffic and trends for customers and users’ engagement.

Essential skills and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 3-5 years of related work in digital fundraising;
  • Knowledge of and proven ability to develop and implement digital fundraising strategies;
  • Knowledge of the main areas of web marketing (SEM, social media marketing, email marketing…);
  • Knowledge of the most popular web analytics tools;
  • Knowledge of the most important platforms for online advertising (such as Google Ads);
  • Knowledge of the main CMS, web tools and e-commerce platforms;
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills;
  • Strong planning, management and work organisation skills;
  • Propensity for leadership;
  • Communication skills;
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing;
  • Experience running reports/interpreting audience analytics;
  • Display creativity and initiative; respond quickly to last-minute needs and changing priorities;
  • Propensity for innovation and the pursuit of improvement;
  • Working proficiency in Italian, Eng (+ 1 other language is consider an asset)
