12 months – 80%

This position is based in the Field, travelling from mission to mission

Mission

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, medical, humanitarian, and independent organisation that provides assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, exclusion from health care and natural disasters. MSF provides assistance to people solely on the basis of their needs and without distinction of race, religion, sex, gender, or political affiliation.**

Main responsibilities

The MSF Transversal Learning Trainer participates in the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of transversal learning programs, both in face-to-face and virtual mode, with a main focus on field implementation. Responsibilities also include training facilitators and contributing to buidling local capacities by accompanying trained facilitators.

Some of these programs include but are not limited to, the Welcome to MSF integration program and other instituational programs or key Topics (DEI, duty of care , Sanou …).These training programs are part of OCG’s overall strategic plan and are adapted and developed based on operational needs. Additional topics or programs can be added to the portfolio depending on the context evaluation and the Learning needs.

Context

Transversal trainings are intended to contribute to the integration and professional development of staff, by addressing themes and developing skills and competencies that are common to the workforce, regardless of the department they belong to and from the moment they join MSF. The development and implementation of these programs is part of OCG staff’s professsional development and a way to give access to learning/training to all staff.

As an entry point, , the “Welcome to MSF” integration programs was developed to respond to the ambition of providing an induction for the maximum of new MSF collaborators, regardless of their place of recruitment, their working location, or their contractual status. While the initial project primarily targeted OCG, today “Welcome to MSF” has become a truly intersectional training.

Other transversal training programs contributing to the global development of staff happen at different moments of their professional career with MSF. They can be used as stand-alone or add-on programs, integrated into existing trainings.

The implementation of the above-mentioned training programs include face-to-face and virtual classes, and must be adapted to the reality of the different contexts of intervention of MSF and the diversity of learners (project to HQ).

The person in this position must show a strong interest in the different institutional learning programs of MSF and be ready to adapt to the varied topics.**
