About the Role

The Senior Software Test Automation Engineer is a member of the global Engineering team. You are preferably based in the GMT time zone (or +/- 3 hours of it and willing to do some time shifting). You will support software development and testing of essential components of myAgro’s digital layaway platform, which will have a global reach. An important responsibility of this role will be to design and conduct testing to improve the quality of the software platform and tools used by myAgro, including mobile applications and databases and integrations with other systems. You will work with a technology team based around the world and you will report to the Software Engineering Manager.

You Will:

  • Architect new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating and automating testing to support myAgro’s software test requirements. Ensure software test programs and plans adequately cover technical, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Software Development and Product Management to establish test criteria for new features and develop test programs and plans to assure performance to these criteria.
  • Collaboratively troubleshoot, understand and document issues, and be responsive to myAgro’s ticketing systems (we are using JIRA as ticketing system). Solve problems quickly and communicate with related teams.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers.
  • Create processes and documentation to manage work and projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and experience using it in a work environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a QA role.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross culturally.
  • Experience with leading test projects in a hands-on way and mentoring others in test automation design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of QA methodology, software development processes and different types of testing including unit, system, integration, user acceptance, regression, usability and end-to-end testing.
